Silver Reef Museum Tour

The group that helps preserve the old mining town of Silver Reef, just outside of Leeds, Utah, was in need of showing their museum to the public during COVID. They received a grant from the Utah Division of Arts & Museums to hire content-smith LLC to create a Virtual Video Tour of their museum to explain the history of Silver Reef and what can be seen inside the museum.

This video uses live actors (there are all museum docents) to explain the different tales and aspects of this 1870s mining camp. The video demonstrates the difference between a video with narration and one that uses actors to explain things.

When the museum is closed, a box of brochures is outside and available to visitors. Along with containing directions to a walking tour to see the old buildings around the town, it also contains two QR codes with links to both the Silver Reef Walking Tour video and this video so that visitors can still enjoy seeing the museum from their phone.
