Just after turning off US 93 north of Ely, Nevada, this is the scene when heading towards the “almost” ghost town of Cherry Creek. You can see the road dip down into a classic “basin” of the Basin & Range geologic province that covers most of Nevada. This is the second of two images; the first being zoomed out.
