Ibex Springs Road Trip

Because of the year-round water supply here, Ibex Springs has been the center for mining activity in this area from the 1880's through the 1950's.  In addition to the well-preserved mines nearby and the stands of palm trees, Ibex Springs is unique because it's the only site inside the National Park that it is currently being restored.  The Mojave Valley Historical Society of Barstow is currently restoring the buildings around the Springs and have posted signs about the project for visitors to read.
