Started in the 1930's, this talc mine operated until 1959 and was the largest producer of talc in the Ibex Hills area. Today, this mine's most unique artifact, the dual ore chutes (pictured at right), along with its ore hoppers, railroad tracks and many other mining artifacts are in good shape. You could spend as little as an hour or up to half of a day investigating the workings of this site. |
