Ibex Hills Area
Located in the southeastern corner of Death Valley, the Ibex Hills area has several well-preserved mining sites, an interpretive hike, some seldom-visited sand dunes and many desert springs. Most people who travel through this area, along S.R. 127, are on their way to or from the main attractions of Death Valley National Park and have no idea that there are so many interesting places just a short distance from the pavement. Thousands of people use the nearby Dumont Dunes O.H.V. area, too, and aren't aware that these places that are so close by. |
