Gower Gulch is the first half of one of the best hikes in Death Valley!  Hiking the Loop Trail that combines this canyon with its popular neighbor-canyon to the north, Golden Canyon, is one of the most scenic and spectacular hikes of Death Valley!  Both canyons have beautiful and "alien-looking" badland landscapes but Gower Gulch offers a little more of a hiking challenge than Golden Canyon thanks to the dry waterfalls that must be scrambled over.  It is also a lot less crowded than Golden Canyon.
