This page is not included in the sample version.  Click here to see available pages.

The Furnace Creek Area is the center for Death Valley tourism and is near many of Death Valley's most popular attractions.  From the early Native Americans nearly 10,000 years ago to the modern-day explorer of today, the abundant supply of water has made this area a natural stopping point for travelers.  Today, it offers many necessities and conveniences for the traveler.  Some of the necessities are the Visitor's Center, one of only three gas stations in the Park and a convenience store for supplies.  Some of the conveniences are the restaurants, hotels, campgrounds and a museum.
