China Ranch Area

This page is not included in the sample version.  Click here to see available pages.

Known today for the China Ranch Date Farm, this area is bursting with great hikes and distinctively beautiful desert landscapes.  Located in the southeastern part of the Death Valley region, the China Ranch area is not within the National Park but is certainly worth your time to explore. Because the canyon is a year-round source of water, it has been visited by man for over a century and has lots of wildlife including crayfish, frogs, 15 varieties of lizards, 20 types of snakes and over 120 different species of birds. There are also many different types of geology from which the area gets its beauty.
